FC Lorient 0-3 Olympique de Marseille
Goals: Dieng (37and), Guendouzi (47and) & Gerson (69and) for OM
The curse of the blue jersey has struck again.
Easy winners of FC Lorient, the Marseillais raised their heads after the disappointments in the Europa League Conference and the slap received at home against OL last Sunday. Enough to officially validate OM’s place in the European Cup next season, before the last two days of the championship. It remains to be seen which European competition the Olympians will take part in. Because even if this clear success in Lorient seems to bring OM closer to the C1, the cascade of injuries that occurred this Sunday at Moustoir could weigh heavily against Rennes and Strasbourg. Bakambu, Ćaleta-Car, Gerson and Dieng thus left injured, while Saliba will be suspended against Rennes.

A fairly heavy record for OM, already deprived of Payet, Milik and Harit at kick-off. But from an accounting point of view, the three points of the day do a lot of good for OM, once again runner-up. Nothing surprising given the performance full of mastery of the Olympians at Moustoir, rightly rewarded at the end of the first period by a recovery of Dieng in kung-fu mode (0.-1 37and). Logically in front at the break, OM had the good taste to make their task easier by breaking at the start of the second act, after a small festival by Guendouzi in the area (0-2, 47and). Apathetic, the Lorientais never worried the Marseillais, who tripled the bet thanks to Gerson, magnificently served by Dieng (0-3, 69and).
Still just as dashing away from home, OM are 8 points clear of fifth place with two games remaining. And will therefore be European next season.
