At the end of his contract with Manchester United in June, Paul Pogba has never been so close to signing for PSG.
Courted by Manchester City with a view to the summer transfer window, Paul Pogba will not betray Manchester United. Indeed, despite the exciting challenge offered by Pep Guardiola to the French international, he quickly decided and made the decision not to join the sworn enemy of Manchester United. However, Paul Pogba is still not in the perspective of extending his contract with the Red Devils. The former Juventus Turin midfielder is indeed heading towards a start for zero euros during this summer transfer window. And according to Marco Conterio, journalist for Tutto Mercato Web, Paris Saint-Germain have taken a huge step ahead of their competitors in the Paul Pogba case. In recent hours, the Parisian management has worked hard to advance the signing of Pogba at PSG and could quickly win their case.
Imminent agreement between PSG and Pogba?
The journalist reveals that the discussions that have been held in recent hours between the representatives of Paul Pogba and the management of Paris Saint-Germain have made it possible to move forward on many points. Now, all parties are very close to reaching an agreement for the signing of Paul Pogba in Paris. A time interested in the 2018 world champion, Real Madrid and especially Juventus Turin are therefore on the way to being overtaken by PSG, which quickly made the tricolor midfielder its priority in order to strengthen its midfield. In this sector of play, PSG was still thinking very recently about the idea of not recruiting a sentry but of concentrating on the recruitment of one or two relay midfielders. Paul Pogba could be the first and his recruitment could push Marco Verratti back in front of the defence. It now remains to be seen what the financial conditions will be for Paul Pogba’s arrival in Paris when “La Pioche” was the second highest paid player in the Manchester United locker room behind Cristiano Ronaldo.
