Accused of sexual violence by eight women in an article by Liberation published on Tuesday, November 9, the lawyer for Patrick Poivre d’Arvor responded to the accusations in the program C à vous on France 5, this Wednesday evening.

Maître Jacqueline Laffont, the lawyer for the former star presenter of the TF1 newspaper, was angry at the accusations of rape and sexual assault of 8 women in Liberation, Tuesday, November 9.

“No new charges” pleads Maître Laffont

These testimonies, which aroused strong reactions, were criticized by the lawyer who believes that there are “no new charges”.

“It does not change the situation because contrary to what Liberation suggests… These women are known to us, they have been heard, they have all explained themselves to the police, in an appropriate judicial framework, which is that provided for by law with rules of criminal procedure, which are absolutely fundamental rules,” said Patrick Poivre d’Arvor’s lawyer.

“The public prosecutor of Nanterre, in an in-depth investigation, considered that either the facts were prescribed, or they were not established or they did not correspond to any offence.”
